Description
This video course is aimed at forming a quality base for performing paschimottanasana (forward bend from a sitting position).
Classes are adapted for beginners, as well as for people with an average level of training, but who still have a hard time bending.
Each lesson of the course is a full-fledged set of hatha yoga with a warm-up, main and final parts.
The course includes a series of 10 lessons and will consist of 3 parts:
Part 1 includes 3 practical video lessons, in which, during the performance of various leading asanas, the teacher focuses on the following important aspects:
- paschimottanasana anatomy: why can’t you tilt? (Karmic restrictions are also dealt with here);
- how to breathe so that the traction is soft and at the same time deep and intense;
- what needs to be strained / contracted in order to relax the muscles necessary for tilting;
- how to work with props in this asana (wall, blocks, belt, bolster).
Part 2 includes 3 practical sessions, during which, during the performance of various hatha yoga asanas, the teacher:
- focuses on different options for warming up the body to perform inclinations,
- analyzes the main preparatory asanas,
- pays attention to work with the feet and hip joints (in order to safely master or deepen the inclination).
Part 3 includes 4 practical exercises, during which the participants of the lesson master and, to deepen the inclination, include in the practice of uddiyana bandha (vacuum retraction of the abdomen), and also learn to track the sensations and movement of energy while holding paschimottanasana (from 1 to 5 minutes).
